I am very very pale. When I first started wearing makeup I would get the lightest foundation and it always made my face look orange-ish and the rest of me was of course still white. It ******! I tried many different brands, before someone turned me over to Mary Kay. I like their stuff pretty good. Hint: put on moistureizer (spelling probably wrong) first then the foundation. It helps even it out and then you don't end up using as much.
Just keep experimenting I guess, until you find something that works.

I use the foundations from LAminerals and they are both great. The Hollywood Face Base has a medium to heavy coverage, depending on how many layers you put on. It lasts all day and is very sweat/water repellent.
The NoHoGlo Face Base is a lil more sheer and gives you that glowy/dewy look like a lot of ppl like. SOmetimes I combine them.
No chalkiness whatsoever. Feels light, airy, yet creamy and nice.

This is what I wear, and I absolutely love it! I first cover up blemishes with MAC concealer. Then, I lightly cover my face with C-2 Studio Fix Powder Foundation by MAC as well. Over that, I put on Bare Minerals Powder Foundation in a more tan shade to give myself a little color. Everything looks smooth and light, but at the same time, everything is covered! It may sound like a lot, but it works wonders for me! Hope this helps a bit!

mix some liquid foundation like loreal infallible with your moisturizer. you probably use too much foundation w. out moisturizing so your skin is getting dry.

You could try something that states "sheer coverage" on the bottle, or even sheer to medium. You could give something by Cover Girl a try or maybe Loreal. There are a lot of options in the drug stores. Good luck.

oooo it might be the foundation
because i used matte mousse and it made my skin feel really cakey and that people could tell I was wearing it

since your skin is dry id go for a tinted moisterizer
it makes it alot easier to blend and goes on really sheer
so it will even out your skin, but if you have bad spots that need more coverage like zits or undereye circles id use some concealer first just on those spots then the tinted moisterizer.

the foundation I use is

maybelinne pure makeup its the best coverup ive found for me so far because i have oily skin so it keeps it non greasy for a while but its nothing amazing

: ) good luck

How old are you? I think, a young girl's skin does not need a foundation - it's taking away, not adding.

Putting lotion on first helps a little.

Also, some people totally swear by mineral makeup.
